play area and open space
In a cooperative project with Miranda Gallagher's Gifted & Talented class at Southern Middle School and HART for Animals, we are currently developing a 40,000 square foot off-leash dog park. More information on the park can be found here.
For questions and suggestions or to reserve the picnic pavilion, call or text us at 323 DCL LION or email DCLLIONS@GMAIL.COM
Our park is adjacent to over 100 acres of undeveloped land owned by Garrett County. The Commissioners have agreed to let our club develop a non-motorized multi-use (hiking, biking, dog walking, skiing/snowshoeing) trail system on this property.
The trail system is themed around famous Garrett County hunter and settler, Meshach Browning - at the trailhead there is an interpretative display information about his life and times as well as places to find more information about the history of the county.

Remember to review us on Google! The more users of the park we can show to funders means better upkeep and more amenities at the park!
