Deep Creek Lake Lions Club
Community Park on Bumble Bee Road, McHenry
Our club manages the community park on Bumble Bee Road (next the the HART center and County solid waste disposal site). Current amenities at the park include
- a softball field with bleachers
- a covered picnic pavilion with electric service
- men's and women's restrooms (April-Oct)
In a cooperative project with Miranda Gallagher's Gifted & Talented class at Southern Middle School and HART for Animals, we are currently developing a 40,000 square foot off-leash dog park. More information on the park can be found here.
To reserve facilities at the park, please call Tommy Wenzel at 301 616 4811

The Park is available for community and family events by reservation and a small donation to offset park maintenance. Check our calendar for availabilty:
Our park is adjacent to over 100 acres of undeveloped land owned by Garrett County. The Commissioners have agreed to let our club develop a non-motorized multi-use (hiking, biking, dog walking, skiing/snowshoeing) trail system on this property.
The trails system will be themed around famous Garrett County hunter and settler, Meshach Browning - the trail map signs will also have information about his life and times as well as places to find more information about the history of the county.
The system was scheduled to open Summer'17, but due to circumstances completely out of the control of the Club, this has been delayed until 2019.
