Off-leash Dog Run at Bumble Bee Road Park
In a cooperative project with Miranda Gallagher's Gifted & Talented class at Southern Middle School and HART for Animals, we are currently developing a 40,000 square foot off-leash dog park at our park on 1263 Bumble Bee Road Accident MD. The dog park includes a double-door entry system, waste disposal, and separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. Future development plans include:
Year 1 - DONE! a fence, dog waste disposal and signage;
Year 2 - benches & dog agility equipment;
Year 3 - a dog walking path;
Year 4 - DONE! water Fountains/water stations;
Year 5 - DONE! a dog wash station

5K Bark in the Park - Sept TBD 2018
Our 2017 race was a great success! Thanks to everyone for coming out - stay tuned for next year's details! 2017 race results here
It's an off-road (headphones OK), pet friendly race that will start and end from our park on Bumble Bee Road. The route covers a variety of terrain and has some moderate hills.
If you are planning on running or walking in the 5K, dogs are not required; however, to be eligible to bring your dog(s) along, he/she/they MUST have updated shots, proper tags, be friendly, and retractable leashes are NOT allowed. Also, bring along some waste disposal bags just in case your dog(s) happen to make a deposit along the way.
Route will be clearly marked and race will be double-timed (two timers to ensure reporting of results)!
